It’s been almost a year since the launch of the TapSwap project. The Telegram-based game quickly gained popularity, but trust in the project has plummeted due to the long-awaited TapSwap listing, which never happened.
This article explores the promises made by the team and the current state of affairs.
TapSwap listing
The game attracted over 70 million users, but due to repeated delays in the token distribution, it has become reminiscent of a hamster wheel. Users are being “milked” by forcing them to watch YouTube videos and input codes.
It feels like the videos and codes will never end.
A total of 18 billion $TAPS tokens were allocated for the airdrop. The projected price was between $0.03 and $0.06 per token. Given the delays, we certainly won’t see such a price anymore—if the tokens are distributed at all, which I highly doubt at this point.
Why hasn’t the listing happened?
The reasons given are simple: waiting for “optimal market conditions” (is there such a thing?) and the need to attract a larger audience.

Announced TapSwap listing dates
At least three times, the TapSwap development team failed to keep their promises and postponed the token distribution:
- October 2024 – The first official listing announcement (even the exact date was provided), but it was delayed because the team couldn’t “optimize the platform before launch.”
- December 2024 – The second promise to distribute tokens. Another failure, as they claimed the listing hadn’t been finalized with exchanges.
- January 2025 – January 23 was supposed to be the grand distribution! I’m writing this on January 26, and there’s complete silence from the developers. The “grand drop” seemingly took place without us—or the exchanges. The third “final” date failed again.
My thoughts
A slap in the face to players. That’s the only way to describe this situation. After so many delays, trust in the project is at zero.
If the TapSwap listing ever happens, everyone will dump their tokens immediately, and the price will plummet. I stopped playing back in early November because I see no point in continuing.
It’s a shame that such a well-designed app lost its potential by choosing money over the development of its product. This might also be tied to a change in ownership, as there were multiple rumors in early autumn that TapSwap had been sold. However, I couldn’t find any official confirmation of this.
